How Do You Inhale Essential Oils?
Inhaling essential oils is identical to breathing in the air straight from a diffuser. Both mediums utilize oxygen and breathing to get the essential oils into our body.
Before essential oil inhalers were available, you would have to take the oils with you and apply a few drops here and there. However, the drawback is that now you smell like the oil and for those around you, they may not be as enthusiastic about your new scent.
The Oil + Bark essential oil accessory is an amazing and revolutionary tool for essential oil enthusiasts. No longer are the benefits of aromatherapy constrained to the confines of the home.
With our essential oil inhaler, you receive all the benefits of essential oils with none of the drawbacks. In fact, you also gain a few benefits such as: deep respiratory breathing and a breath refresher.

Step 1: Love the product
I know, I know. It sounds silly, but seriously you will come to love this product. Every essential oil inhaler is unique with it’s own grain pattern and slight color variations.
Each inhaler is skillfully made here in the USA from trees that were sustainably harvested. Quality matters to you as an essential oil enthusiast and quality matters to us.
Step 2: Get your essential oil blend ready
This is one is easy, well at least for your first go it will be easy! We always recommend people start off with Peppermint essential oil. It provides amazing benefits when breathed in and doesn’t require a lot of drops to get the desired flavor. Grab your peppermint essential oil and get ready.

Step 3: Pull out the inserts and add some drops of Peppermint
Now the fun begins! Each Oil + Bark order includes five (5) 100% cotton inserts and we will only be using one. The other four (4) are for you to try new blends.
Follow us on Facebook and Instagram (@oilandbark) to get our recommended blends as we try them ourselves. The key with applying essential oils is to start LOW on the number of drops. You can always add more.
Only apply two drops for the first round, see how it taste and add more if needed.
Step 4: Place the insert into the essential oil inhaler
It’s as simple as that. Slide the insert all the way into the larger hole of the essential oil inhaler. It is the end that is not tapered. The insert should slide right in with little to no effort.
If you are having extreme difficulty getting the cotton insert in, then most likely you are trying on the wrong end.
Step 5: Breathe in the goodness
Grab the inhaler and with the tapered end opposite the side with the insert, place it your lips and take a deep breathe. Drum roll……verdict is!??!
